Indonesia's longest-running independent label & recording studio.
Since 1971, we have recorded, pressed, and distributed Indonesian music for 2,000+ artists across pop, rock, dangdut, jazz, indie, and hip-hop. Vinyl pressing from 100 units. Distribution to 50+ DSPs. Quarterly royalty statements — every quarter, to the cent.
Flower Sound Records was founded in 1971 in Jakarta. We have recorded and pressed records for 2,000+ artists across 55 years — from dangdut originators to today's indie acts. Our recording room is still in Menteng. Our distribution arm still presses vinyl and ships to record shops across Indonesia, from Sabang to Merauke.
In 2020 we relaunched as a full-service label-services partner — combining the recording studio with distribution, marketing, sync licensing, and royalty accounting under one roof. Artists keep 100% of their masters.
A seven-person Jakarta team: A&R, distribution ops, marketing, and royalty admin — not freelancers, not project hires. Quarterly royalty statements with line-item streaming data per platform. Transparent splits printed on every contract. No exclusive lock-in.
From distribution and recording to marketing and business affairs — we cover every aspect of your music career.
A label is its discography. We are compiling a public-facing roster of releases — pending artist permission for use of names and cover art. For specific catalog references, ask in your submission email and we will share matched A&R credits privately.
No award claims. No "world-class" promises. Here is what we actually do.
Indie label since 1971. Distribution and marketing scale of a label group, built on 55 years of Indonesian music relationships.
Seven full-time staff — A&R, distribution ops, marketing, royalty admin. Not freelancers, not interns.
One Jakarta team. Recording studio, distribution desk, and royalty accounting in one Menteng building.
Vinyl from 100 units. Most pressing plants require 500+ minimum. We press your test runs.
No hidden splits. Royalty rate and recoupment terms printed on every contract — read it before you sign.
50+ DSPs across all streaming markets. Physical retail in 8 Indonesian cities + international export.
Email a SoundCloud or YouTube link, or attach a master file. Free 48-hour A&R review — no exclusive contract just to submit.
Three things we hear most: "How fast can I press 100 vinyl?" (4–6 weeks). "What's the royalty split?" (industry standard, written on contract). "Can I book studio time?" (yes — Menteng, hourly or daily).
